One must drink a cup of green tea every night before sleeping. Green tea acts as an anti-viral agent which helps in opening the nose. The mucus can be excreted through the nose by taking lots of steam in winters especially. Some drops of essential oils like tea tree oil can be added to the steam to ease the mucus extraction process. you must inhale the steam by covering the head and the container with a towel. You must inhale it with your mouth open so that the steam can go inside the throat and nasal passage. This will warm up the mucus and comes out through the nose easily.
